Each year, West End Adventure brings together brilliant groups of individuals for our Open Bronze, Silver, and Gold Expeditions.
From hillwalking through Scotland’s stunning glens, to sea kayaking adventures, or the ultimate challenge – our Gold Stand Up Paddleboarding Expedition – there’s something epic for everyone.
Our experienced and welcoming team will make sure you feel right at home while helping you achieve your award with confidence (and a smile!).
All Scottish-based expeditions kick off from our Glasgow base – and we’ll take care of transport from there.

🌍 International DofE Expeditions – Iceland & Morocco

Trek through the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco, rise with the sun, explore desert landscapes by day and cool off in warm rivers by night…

These expeditions are open to individuals and groups, and all follow the official DofE framework – with a full UK-based practice expedition before we go.

Whether it’s canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, or hillwalking, we work with you to build the perfect experience for your pupils – from the Lowlands of Scotland to the Valleys of Wales.
We’ll sit down over a cuppa, chat through your goals, and tailor the trip to suit your group. Need tents, kit, or transport? We’ve got it all covered.

No experience is necessary! Our expeditions are designed for all abilities. We’ll support you with training and practice before your qualifying journey.

We provide group kit such as tents, stoves, and safety equipment. You’ll need personal items (clothing, boots, sleeping bag, rucksack). A full kit list is sent upon booking.

Don’t worry — you can join one of our Open Expeditions, where we match you with others at the same DofE level. You’ll meet new people and form a team.

Safety is our top priority. All expeditions are led by qualified, first aid trained instructors. Groups are monitored using GPS trackers, and we carry out thorough risk assessments.

Teams usually consist of 5–7 participants. If you are a smaller group or individual, we’ll combine you with others.
