Open Expeditions
In the last year, over 321,000 young people have embarked on their Duke of Edinburgh journey. That is 321,000 young people developing practical skills, making new friends and enjoying the great outdoors.
West End Adventure has been part of this journey for the last ten years, providing Open Expeditions to young people across Scotland.

What’s Included?
- Comprehensive training, advice and supervision from experienced instructors
- Free use of all necessary kit (including tents, stoves, first aid kits and shelters)
- All accommodation / camping fees
- DofE Accredited Assessors for Qualifying Expedition programmes
Locations
We run a range of expeditions across Scotland. From the remote wilderness of the Cairngorms to Glen Nevis in the west, there is something for everyone to choose from.
All locations are designed with easy access to public transport and full directions will be provided in your welcome information.
